Sprites, Objects and Scenes

Learn the terms in the chosen tool.

A useful distinction

Different game tools organise visual elements and behaviour differently. A sprite may represent a visible element, while a scene or object system can group information and actions. The exact terms and capabilities belong to the tool’s documentation.

Put it into practice

Sketch a player, obstacle and background as separate roles before assigning tool-specific names. Consult the current tutorial for the engine you actually use. Do not assume that a concept from Scratch maps directly onto a Godot node or another framework’s object model.
